Mondrian Tree House

Architectural Model 2019 

Inspired by Piet Mondrian's                                            , this modern treehouse explores the juxtaposition of structure and order integrating with wild and ever-changing nature. The levels of this tree house came from splitting Mondrian's painting into three parts and overlapping the sections with larger colored squares for the trees to poke through. The intention of this design is to feel seamlessly integrated within the trees; the string hammocks mimic sitting in the canopies and the trees will eventually grow to envelop the space.
