Architectural Sukkah

Temporary Installation City College Campus 2019 

Inspired by the 2010 NYC Architectural design competition                      , I led a team of four in building this Sukkah using recycled cardboard pipes and rope. Working from my design and made to resemble bamboo mats, our Sukkah is amenable and easily rearranged, yet feels sturdy and safe. We chose the site intentionally, as the tree integrates well to provided necessary shade, the taller pipes protect from wind, and the shorter pipes allow interaction with the beautiful view.
